In the lowlands there is Campo do Vale, an area fully dedicated to the project’s educational sphere. It’s part of Alvor’s estuary agricultural landscape with access to an immense diversity of local flora and fauna.
Campo do Vale hosts activities organized by Projecto Novas Descobertas, offering conditions for accommodation, fun and learning. The campus is the main venue for our courses, summer camps and other educational activities.
It’s also available to rent, allowing our visitors to enjoy farm life as well as an intense experience of discovering nature. The space is ready to work as an independent area to host groups in educational experiences, allowing privacy from the rest of the farm.
It features a shaded camping area, supported by toilet and solar showers, big enough to host 25 people at a time. It has also a wooden floor pavilion equipped for educational purposes and a kitchen prepared for big groups. Outdoor areas are safe and include a field for sports and games, a shaded handicrafts area and enough space for cycling.
Campo do Vale is in continuous design process based on permaculture, allowing experimentation, improvements and renewal the space as part of our activities.
