General Farm Questions

How much is the entry to the farm?

Farm entry is free. We have 43 hectares for you to roam and enjoy at your own pace. However, currently, we are only allowing visitors that are signed up to activities, courses or are guests at Casa VDL or have a table booked at our Restaurant.

What can I do at the farm?

Here at the farm we have plenty of activities all year round:
– Children Summer Camps (by PND)
– Courses & Internships
– And lots more…

Appart from these, you can also:
– book a stay or a retreat at Casa Vale da Lama, our in-farm lodge.
– book a table at our farm to fork restaurant here.


Our Guided Farm Tour takes place on ????? at 10am. Book your spot ???

Can’t make it to the guided tour? We encourage you to grab a map and sign in at Casa Vale da Lama to take a free self-guided tour anytime between 7am – 4pm, 7 days a week.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. We just ask that you keep your four-legged-friend on a leash at all times.
Keep in mind that we do not allow animals on the inside of any of our buildings.

Yes. Casa Vale da Lama is a sustainable lodge located inside Quinta Vale da Lama.

For residential courses and internships, the accommodation facilities are not at Casa Vale da Lama. To know more about it, read the description on the course/internship you are applying for.

how do I get there?

You can find us at Quinta Vale da Lama, Em534, Vale da Lama, Odiáxere – Lagos, PORTUGAL. See Map

From Lagos you can take the train, which leaves you at about a 40 minute walk from the station to the farm. There are local buses that end at the closest village, Odiáxere. From there its a 30 minute walk.

where can I buy your vegetables?

Our organic vegetables are sold at multiple spots and you can find our ‘Quinta Vale da Lama’ stand at:
Viv’o Mercado – organic farmer’s market in Lagos. Every Wednesday 14h to 20h.  See here  for +info.
Mercado do Levante – local farmer’s market in Lagos. Every Saturday from 7h to 13h. See here for +info

Where can i buy 'Produtos do Vale' products?

‘Produtos do Vale’ are sold at multiple spots and you can find them at every market at our ‘Quinta Vale da Lama’ stand. (see previous question)

They are also sold at Casa Vale da Lama’s souvenir shop. Open every day from 9am to 18pm.

Children at the farm

Do you accept children?

Of course. Children are always welcom to the Quinta.

We have mutiple children activities all year round. Check out our What’s On Page for more.

do you have summer camps for children?

Quinta Vale da Lama does not provide children camps, but our Non-profit Association does.

PND – Project New Discoveries has over 25 years of experince on hosting summer camps. Head over to their website for more information.
